They don’t call cats curious for nothing! One inquisitive Russian kitten recently got stuck inside the suspension spring of a Jeep Land Cruiser and went for the ride of her life.
Vitaliy Bouranin, 32, climbed into his Jeep Land Cruiser one morning and was off on a business trip to Sakhalin, Russia. His meeting was far from his home and after driving 128 km per hour for 50 miles, Bouranin decided to refuel, Mail Online reports.
While Bouranin began fueling up, he heard a curious sound, as if a cat was meowing from underneath his car. At first, he thought he might have been hearing things, but the meowing persisted and he began checking his car and got quite a shock in seeing an unexpected passenger.
When Bouranin peeked underneath the car, he saw a ball of orange and tan fur stuck inside one of the suspension springs of the car. Astounded, he tried luring the cat out of the spring. Unsuccessful, he called the staff to help him rescue the kitten.
With no luck, Bouranin called the local police and fire departments to help the poor cat. Three hours later, after removing the spring from the car in order to extract the cat, she was freed and seemed to be in fair condition. The authorities took the cat back to Southeast Russia, where they believe her journey began.
Bouranin said he had no idea how long the cat was riding with him or how in the world she managed to get herself inside the spring of his car. He said he thought such a manoevre was seemingly impossible, but this kitten proved the feat to be achievable.
The orange tabby cat is healthy, as far as the authorities can tell. No one knows where the cat came from or who she may belong to.She is thought to be a kitten, of the very adventurous sort.
